Tasting Note
Golden color with candied citrus, orange blossom, honey, apricot and pineapple. Rich, unctuous palate balanced by lively acidity, honeyed finish and long citrus-marmalade aftertaste.

Food Pairing
Foie gras, roasted duck, blue cheese (Roquefort), fruit tarts, crème brûlée; Asian: spiced Thai curry, Peking duck, sushi with fatty fish, spicy Sichuan dishes.

Production Method
Botrytized grapes hand-harvested in multiple passes, pressed and fermented in oak barrels; aged 18–26 months in French oak (portion new). Barrel selection determines second wine.

Les Carmes de Rieussec is the second wine of Château Rieussec (Premier Cru Classé), owned by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) since 1984; name refers to Carmelite monks of Langon.
