Tasting Note

Deep garnet color; concentrated plum, baked blueberry and mulberry fruit with mocha, licorice, cedar and pencil-lead notes. Full-bodied, velvety tannins, fresh acidity and a long, layered finish.


Food Pairing

Roast lamb, grilled ribeye, beef stew, duck confit, mushroom risotto; char siu, Peking duck, Korean BBQ short ribs, soy-braised beef, aged cheeses (Comté, Manchego).


Production Method

Vinified in oak tanks with indigenous yeasts; tannin extraction tailored by plot; aged ~18 months in oak barrels (about 50% new).

Owned by Arnaud Roux-Oulié; ~8.5 ha on clay-limestone soils, average vine age ~35 years. Produced with reasoned agriculture and partial conversion to organic; ~50,000 bottles annual production.
