Tasting Note
Concentrated blackcurrant, mulberry and blackberry with cedar, tobacco, dark chocolate and forest-floor notes. Fine-grained ripe tannins, spicy oak and herbaceous nuances, finishing long, savory and mineral-edged.

Grilled ribeye or roast lamb with rosemary; braised short ribs; aged cheddar; hoisin‑glazed duck or five‑spice duck breast; Korean BBQ beef; Sichuan pepper beef or char siu pork.

Production Method
Hand‑harvested and berry/berry‑sorted; ~30 days on skins; malolactic in oak; matured ~18 months in French oak (≈50% new); blended and bottled (some releases unfined/unfiltered).

Vineyard Info
Founded 1970 by David Hohnen and brothers; flagship Cabernet sourced mainly from original Wallcliffe estate vines. One of Margaret River’s founding wineries; owned by Endeavour Group (acquired 2023).
