Tasting Note
Dense black fruit (blackberry, plum), violet and spice notes, toasted oak, firm fine tannins, lively acidity and a long, savory finish with hints of leather and black olive.

Western: grilled lamb, roast beef, braised short ribs, mushroom risotto, aged Manchego or other hard cheeses. Asian: Korean BBQ, char siu, Peking duck, teriyaki beef, richer Sichuan spicy dishes.
Production Method
Traditional temperature‑controlled fermentation; matured 11–12 months in French (new/used) oak barrels; bottled after selection from Buçaco vineyards.

Produced by the Palace Hotel Buçaco (Vinhos do Buçaco), founded by Alexandre de Almeida in 1917. Wines are made from old selected vineyards in Bairrada and nearby Dão.
