Tasting Note

Concentrated blackcurrant and black cherry with violet, tobacco, cedar and graphite; medium‑full, juicy core, tangy acidity and powdery/silky tannins, saline mineral and long elegant finish.

Production Method

Hand-harvested; parcel-by-parcel fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats; gravity-fed cellar transfers; malolactic fermentation; ~18 months ageing in French oak (≈60% new).


Vineyard Info

Fourth Growth (1855) estate in Saint-Julien owned by the Maroteaux family since 1988; c.50–60 ha on gravel soils; modernised gravity-fed chai and focus on precision viticulture and parcel vinification.
