Tasting Note

Orange blossom, jasmine and beeswax aromas lead to tangerine, nectarine, lemon curd and honeysuckle flavors with saline minerality. Textured, medium-bodied, vibrant acidity and an elegant, lingering citrus-spice finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roasted chicken, grilled scallops, lobster, creamy pasta, goat cheese. Asian: Thai green curry, miso-glazed cod, sushi/sashimi, Chinese steamed fish, Cape Malay bobotie.


Production Method

Whole-bunch pressing, spontaneous fermentation; matured 14 months (≈70% new French oak barriques, 30% concrete egg); small Muscat component skin-fermented in amphora/clay.


Vineyard Info

Made from three old-vine parcels planted 1902, 1936 and 1942. Boekenhoutskloof is a renowned Franschhoek estate (estate origins 1776, modern ownership/renewal from 1993).
