Tasting Note
Concentrated, elegant Rioja: spiced blueberries, black cherries, dried flowers, oyster-shell minerality and wild herbs. Vertical, dusty tannins with tense acidity and a long, refined finish.
Food Pairing
Roasted lamb, grilled ribeye, aged Manchego, mushroom risotto; Peking duck, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), char siu/hoisin pork, spicy Szechuan beef — also pairs well with rich stews and umami mushroom dishes.
Production Method
Hand-harvested; fermented in 3,000‑L open-top oak vats with indigenous yeasts; matured 14–16 months in large oak vats/foudres (1,500 L). Minimal intervention; organically managed vineyards.
Vineyard Info
Bodega Lanzaga (Telmo Rodríguez project) produces small-batch single-vineyard Rioja Alavesa wines. Tabuérniga is a terraced amphitheatre vineyard (circa 540–630 m). Focus on organic/biodynamic viticulture and traditional large‑oak ageing.
Delivery is typically completed within 5–7 business days from the date payment is received.
