Tasting Note
Bright red and black berries with violets, orange zest and baking spice; chalky mineral lift, fine dusty tannins, lively acidity and a focused, long mineral finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roasted lamb, grilled beef, pork chop, chorizo, aged Manchego and other hard cheeses. Asian: Peking/roast duck, char siu, Korean BBQ, mushroom soba/udon, mildly spicy mapo tofu.

Production Method
Hand-harvested; native-yeast fermentation in open 3,000L oak vats; aged 14–16 months in 500L French oak barriques and larger foudres; organic viticulture.

Single high-altitude (~600m) El Velado vineyard in Lanciego (under 1 ha), planted to ~80-year-old bush vines. Part of Telmo Rodríguez’s Bodega Lanzaga, focused on old-vine field blends and low-intervention winemaking.
