Tasting Note
Perfumed citrus, Asian pear and grilled pineapple with honeysuckle, white tea and honeycomb. Full-bodied, creamy texture with vibrant acidity, vanilla and hazelnut spice, finishing unctuous with beeswax and lanolin notes.
Food Pairing
Western: lobster, crab, seared scallops, roasted chicken, creamy mushroom risotto, buttered pasta, Brie. Asian: miso‑glazed black cod, tempura prawns, honey-soy roast chicken, mild coconut curries, seared salmon sashimi.
Production Method
Whole-lot pressing; fermented and aged 8 months in 100% French oak (≈50% new); lees stirred every other month; expressive lots selected and blended.
Vineyard Info
Primarily from Beringer’s Gamble Ranch (Oakville), with ~18% from Big Ranch (Oak Knoll); older Wente clone plantings (1976) contribute richness and acidity. Beringer is Napa’s longest continuously operating winery (est.1876).
