Tasting Note

Perfumed red cherry, raspberry and rose petal with violet and forest-floor notes. Silky texture, fine-grained tannins, limestone minerality and a persistent, elegant finish.


Food Pairing

Roast duck, coq au vin, mushroom risotto, beef bourguignon; Asian: Peking duck, char siu bao, miso-glazed salmon, shiitake ramen.


Production Method

Organically farmed fruit; partly destemmed Pinot Noir fermented in open-top vats with gentle punch‑downs; élevage in French oak barrels (mix of used and some new) for ~18 months.

Domaine Ghislaine Barthod (family domaine, ~5 ha in Chambolle). Ghislaine (now with son Clément) is known for elegant, terroir-driven Pinot Noir from small parcels across the appellation.
