Tasting Note
Deep ruby with intense black-fruit aromas of blackberry, plum and dark cherry, plus cocoa, violets and spice. Full-bodied, concentrated and balanced with firm ripe tannins and a long liquorice/dark-chocolate finish.
Food Pairing
Western: mature blue cheese (Roquefort, Stilton), dark chocolate tart, roasted lamb or game, beef stew. Asian: Peking duck, Chinese red‑braised pork (hong shao rou), Indonesian rendang, black sesame or red‑bean desserts.
Production Method
Harvested from the Quinta, fermented as a single-vintage port, fortified with grape spirit to arrest fermentation, briefly casked then bottled after 2–3 years to mature in bottle.
