Tasting Note
Fresh red fruits (raspberry, redcurrant), black cherry, subtle spice, light graphite and floral lift. Medium-bodied, vibrant acidity, fine silky tannins and a clean, medium-length finish — elegant and approachable in youth.
Food Pairing
Western: beef tenderloin, roast lamb, steak, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu (Cantonese BBQ pork), Korean bulgogi, Sichuan-style braised beef, Japanese sukiyaki.
Production Method
Vinified in stainless steel and wooden vats; matured ~12 months in French oak (c.30% new), gentle extraction and careful parcel selection for the second wine.
Vineyard Info
Second wine of Château Brane-Cantenac (Margaux Grand Cru Classé), estate owned by the Lurton family. Named for Baron Jacques‑Maxime de Brane; focuses on parcels for earlier approachability and value.
