Tasting Note

Brambly red fruits, cherry and plum with cedar, pencil-shaving and floral (lilac) notes. Silky texture, fresh acidity and fine, coated tannins; medium-bodied with a persistent, slightly toasty finish.


Food Pairing

Roast lamb, grilled steak, duck confit, aged cheeses; Asian: Peking duck, char siu, braised beef with soy/miso, mushroom hotpot, richer Korean BBQ (bulgogi).


Production Method

Fermented in stainless steel and concrete vats with ~20-day maceration; matured ~12 months in French oak barrels (20–30% new). Selection for second label.


Vineyard Info

Château Brane‑Cantenac (Deuxième Cru Classé 1855), run by the Lurton family (Henri Lurton). Produces the second wine Baron de Brane from selected parcels on deep gravel soils.
