Tasting Note
Pale lemon. Aromas of lemon, green apple, pear, white flowers and crushed stone with light smoky/reductive hints. Medium-bodied with bright acidity, fine minerality, subtle lees and integrated oak; clean, slightly saline finish.
Food Pairing
Roast chicken, grilled prawns, mushroom risotto, sole meunière, Comté cheese; Asian: sashimi/sushi, tempura prawns, steamed white fish with soy-ginger, mild coconut curries.
Production Method
Hand-harvested Chardonnay; direct pressing, indigenous yeast fermentation in 350L/700L barrels (c.20% new); ~12 months barrel ageing then additional stainless steel maturation. Practicing organic viticulture.

Domaine Bachelet-Monnot founded by Marc & Alexandre Bachelet (2005) in Dezize-lès-Maranges. ~20 ha holdings and domaine fruit from Puligny- and Chassagne-area parcels; also works with grand cru sites.
