Tasting Note

Concentrated, mineral-driven Chardonnay: citrus peel, white peach, oyster shell and wet limestone with saline/marine notes, taut acidity and a precise, long, austere finish.


Food Pairing

Western: lobster/seafood (scallops, lobster thermidor), roast chicken with herbs, creamy mushroom risotto, beurre blanc fish. Asian: miso‑glazed black cod, delicate sushi/nigiri (fatty tuna), steamed fish with ginger & scallion, Cantonese dim sum.


Production Method

Hand-harvested; whole-bunch pressing, native-yeast fermentations; élevage in 350L demi-muids (one- and two-year-old) with no new oak in 2022; ~12 months in barrel plus further time in tank.

Domaine run by brothers Marc & Alexandre Bachelet (est. 2005). Bâtard parcel c.0.14 ha of ~50‑year‑old vines at the Puligny end; tiny yields (c.800 bottles in 2022). Domaine practices sustainable / low-intervention viticulture.
