Tasting Note
Deep crimson with purple glints. Intense black/blue fruit (blackberry, blueberry), licorice, cinnamon and vanilla from French oak, floral rose hints; velvety, fine tannins, bright acidity and a long mint-chocolate finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, grilled ribeye, beef stews, aged cheeses. Asian: Korean BBQ (bulgogi), Cantonese char siu or Peking duck, Sichuan-style beef, Indonesian rendang.

Production Method
Fermented in 1,800L vats with two remontados daily; ~28 days maceration; malolactic in 500L French oak; aged about 15 months in 500L French oak barrels (1º–3º year).

Vineyard Info
Bodegas Cosme Palacio, founded 1894 in Laguardia (Rioja Alavesa). Historic centenary producer now within Entrecanales Domecq group; sources high-altitude old-vine Tempranillo from Rioja Alavesa.
