Tasting Note
Intense ruby with purple hues. Aromas of blackberry, blueberry, licorice, cinnamon, vanilla and rose petal. Plush palate of ripe dark fruit, fine silky tannins, balanced acidity and a long, savory chocolate‑menthol finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, grilled ribeye, venison, aged Manchego and charcuterie. Asian: Peking duck, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), char siu, braised pork belly, mushroom hotpot or soy‑glazed dishes.

Production Method
100% Tempranillo; fermented in 1,800L vats with two remontages daily; extended maceration (≥28 days); malolactic in 500L French oak; ~15 months ageing in 500L French oak barrels (1st–3rd use).

Bodegas Cosme Palacio (Laguardia), founded by Cosme Palacio in 1894. Pioneer of modern Rioja style, working high‑altitude old‑vine Tempranillo from plots >70–80 years.
