Awards/Ratings
James Suckling 94 pts (2019); Robert Parker (Wine Advocate) score reported ~94; high retailer/critic praise for oak-aged Limarí Chardonnay
Tasting Note
Concentrated coastal Chardonnay: green apple, white peach, almonds, olives and chestnut, with salted sourdough, cloves, white chocolate and ginger. Toasty, spicy, oily and full-bodied yet vibrant, finishing mineral and persistent.
Food Pairing
Roasted herb chicken, lobster with beurre blanc, creamy mushroom risotto, grilled salmon, pork belly, seared scallops; Asian: miso-glazed black cod, tempura prawns, sushi/ sashimi (fatty tuna), mild coconut-based curries.
Production Method
Hand-harvested Chardonnay, gently vinified and barrel-fermented; aged approximately 24 months in French oak to develop toasty, spicy layers while preserving coastal freshness.
Vineyard Info
Aristos (François Massoc collaboration) sources fruit from coastal terraces in Limarí near Fray Jorge UNESCO reserve; boutique producer focused on terroir-driven, low-yield Chardonnay.
