Tasting Note
Brilliant pale yellow with aromas of oysters, cooked apple, fresh seaweed and crushed stone. Full-bodied, mineral and saline, with phenolic tension and a long, fresh finish.
Food Pairing
Western: grilled salmon, lobster bisque, scallops, creamy pasta, roasted chicken. Asian: sesame-crusted tuna, sushi/sashimi, miso-glazed fish, Thai seafood curry.
Production Method
Hand-harvested, cool-climate fruit fermented (barrel and tank), aged 12 months in French oak (18% new, 82% 2nd/3rd use); minimal/no malolactic.

Made by Concha y Toro under the Amelia label from the Quebrada Seca vineyard (~190 m a.s.l., 22 km from the Pacific). Clay-calcareous soils and cool maritime mornings produce slow, concentrated ripening.
