Tasting Note

Concentrated black-currant and plum fruit with herbal Carmenère spice, black tea, cedar and toasted oak. Full-bodied, silky texture, polished firm tannins and a long menthol-tinged finish.


Food Pairing

Western: grilled ribeye, roasted lamb, mushroom risotto, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Korean BBQ (bulgogi), Peking duck, char siu, Sichuan braised beef or spicy teriyaki-style dishes.


Production Method

Estate Puente Alto fruit; traditional fermentation and maceration; matured about 19 months in French oak barriques (significant portion new) before bottling.
